The “3 T’s” of Hard Value Your Brokerage Already Offers (Use These to Recruit, Retain, & Grow)

 

Hey guys, if you are a brokerage owner, I’m going to challenge you to do something which I think would be very valuable for you, and that would be to create a value map of your company focused on the three T’s:

Training, Technology, and Tools.

If you’re going to take out a white sheet of paper, write down every piece of training you offer as a company, every piece of technology you offer as a company, every tool that you offer as a company. Write it down on one sheet.

Maybe it’ll take a couple of sheets.

Then take that list, put it in Canva, and have it create a nice checklist for you.

Bring it to your next office meeting and say this:

“Hey guys, I created what I call a value map of the company, just showing off all the tools, technology, and training we’ve got.

“I just wanted to have everybody check it out and see if there’s something maybe you haven’t taken advantage of, that maybe you want to plug into in the next 12 months to help you create more transactions.

In fact, I’m going to challenge you: circle those things you want to take advantage of, and then write down how many transactions you think that might add to your bottom line over the next 12 months.”

This does many, many things at once.

It’s a great retention tool because it’s going to educate your own agents to say, “Hey, maybe I’m not taking full advantage of everything that’s in the company.”

So it’s a great way to ward off people outside your brokerage trying to recruit your agents.

And it also signals to them that they need to take personal responsibility for their own production, that you are offering tools, they’re just not taking advantage of the tools.

Next, it’s a great recruiting tool. When you go on your next recruiting appointment, this is a great tool to bring with you, right?

So really, really powerful.

And then also it’s going to highlight to you what I call the difference between hard value and soft value.

A lot of times when I’m really educating brokerage owners in my coaching, I’ll ask, “Tell me what your value prop is.”

And a lot of times they’ll come back and say, “Well, I have a great culture. People can trust each other. We have great social events. We have really good camaraderie in the office.”

And those are all great.

But that’s what keeps people at your office once they’re there. It doesn’t move people.

What moves people to your office is what we call "hard value."

Those are the things that help them close more transactions over the course of any given year.

So we help you specialize in creating a really powerful value prop that will motivate and attract agents to join you.

But you can start with this one-sheet experiment and just write down everything you can think of today, and then use that at your next office meeting as a checklist.

Watch what happens. It’s a really interesting exercise to go through.
