"If you buy a property for $200,000 and it appreciates to $220k, your properties make you a 10% return on your investment. However, you likely didn't pay cash to the property and instead used the bank's money.
If you consider that you may have put 10% down (or $20,000), you actually have doubled your investment and you had a 100% return on your investment."
What a great, great concept for people to understand! People reading that will be educated and inspired that you are the expert in the market and someone they should talk to about buying or selling real estate.
