Tapping into the Aspirational Goals of Your Clients

Your best clients helped you a ton last year - they bought and sold homes, they told their family and friends about you, they gave you encouragement, provided referrals, and were your biggest advocates.
So what did you do to help them with their goals and dreams?
If the answer is not nearly enough then this is your year to embrace Aspirational Marketing. Your best clients, your A+ group, and all of your friends have aspirational goals both personally and professionally. Your mission, your passion, should be to discover what these goals are and help each of them in any way that you can.
Because when you help enough other people achieve their dreams they will help you achieve yours! It's the power of reciprocity. When you focus on helping others you in turn will be helped.
Where do you start? By asking the question, try using this script:
Listen I just wanted to call and say thank you for (referrals/doing business) last year you really helped me achieve my business goals! This year I thought wouldn’t it be interesting to ask my best clients what their goals are for the new year, I set a goal to <something unrelated to real estate> …. any big plans for this year?
(Prompts – Travel, Kids, Vacation, Professional, Baby, Grandbaby)

Once you have learned what your clients goals are for the year be sure to record this data in your CRM and set up a Google Alert. When you find items of value that will help your client with their aspirational goals send over the information with a quick note like this:
Hey I came across something today that I thought you might be interested in that can help you with <aspirational goals>. Have an amazing day!
Helping someone achieve their goals is an incredible way to create deeper more meaningful relationships which is exactly how you create raving fans (and friends)!
